Throughout the 1st quarter, I have really enjoyed
our ICT subject. It has been a very big help to develop my knowledge and my
learning on this subject.
ICT is indeed a fascinating subject to study, I’ve learned and
gained a lot of knowledge and information. I learned that the Internet was first
developed in the early 1960s under the direction of the Department of Defense's
Advanced Research Project Agency and that the Philippines was connected to the
internet in March 1994. I also learned that a web page is a document that
stores online information, that web servers are computers that store the web
pages' files, and that web clients are computers that view the web pages. And also,
The URL for the page is included in the HTTP request. The UR, or Uniform
Resource Locator, is a symbol in the address bar that simply points to the
location of a file or webpage. The domain name, I discovered, identifies the
location of a webpage or file on the internet. The levels of domain names are 3rd level domain, which aids the server in locating the address on the internet
by narrowing it down to the World Wide Web (www); 2nd level domain, which tells
the web name of the entity you want to find; and top-level domain (TLD), which
is the suffix or a web address, which indicates the type of entity to which the
web site belongs.
The lesson as a whole has allowed me to delve further into
specific subjects that I am interested in and that I am not confident in giving
in the classroom. Working with people during the inputs has allowed me to
improve my communication skills as well as listening and empathy skills.
Working with others on several of the assignments has also added to the
enjoyment of the experience. We supplied each other with essential motivation
and encouragement. I believe I have learned a lot from them as professionals,
as they have shared their ideas and insights on a variety of topics, allowing
me to see things from other perspectives and inspiring me to expand my own
thinking.
Before I end out with this blog post, I'd like to express my
gratitude to our subject teacher, Ma'am Evelyn Vera Cruz. Thank you a lot ma'am!
